This innovative, sustainable material, sourced from recycled industrial plastics, offers aesthetic and functional qualities equivalent to traditional materials, all while minimizing our environmental footprint.
Why choosing
recycled PMMA?
Opting for recycled PMMA means extending the life of existing plastics and preventing them from ending up in landfills or incinerators. Lightweight and durable, this material guarantees excellent transparency and light transmission. After thorough research, our teams have selected one of the most transparent (Luminous transmittance: 91%) recycled materials on the market: Recycled Plexiglas 8N.
Advantages of this new material:
- High-Quality Lighting: the transparency and purity of recycled PMMA allow for even light diffusion. In some cases, PMMA can be recycled multiple times without altering its basic characteristics, which helps extend its useful life.
- Reduced Reliance on Fossil Fuels: recycling just one ton of plastic saves 830 liters of oil. By using recycled plastic, we contribute to the shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, helping reduce our carbon footprint and support a cleaner energy future.
- More Energy-Efficient Manufacturing: recycling one ton of plastic saves an impressive 5,774 kWh of energy. This reduction in energy consumption plays a key role in minimizing the environmental impact of production.
- Less Waste, Cleaner Oceans: by using recycled plastic already present in our environment, we actively reduce pollution and help prevent further waste from ending up in landfills or oceans, contributing to cleaner, healthier ecosystems.
- Ease of Recycling : it is relatively easy to recycle compared to other plastics. Recycling techniques such as grinding, melting, or polymerization can be used to produce new products, making it a circular plastic well-suited for a sustainable economy.
- Additionally, it’s one ton of material that won’t end up burned, buried, discarded in water, or dumped in remote landfills.
Recycled plastics are still very much in the minority, but participating in their use helps to enrich this virtuous circle, on our scale.
